Westerlo Hometown Heroes
Hometown Heroes Banners Applications, Re-Hang Applications and Sponsorship Applications are available beginning Jan. 1 and due by April 1, no exceptions. Banners honor those who have or are currently serving in the armed forces (banners are also available for first responders) who have resided or currently live in Westerlo. Tribute Pavers for Veterans Garden, in Veterans Memorial Park, accepting applications anytime. Pavers honor those who have or are currently serving in the armed forces. Applicants do NOT need to be a former or current resident of Westerlo. Veterans Day Sunset Service -A respectful ceremony honoring those who have or are currently serving. Veterans Memorial Park, Nov. 11, at sunset. Veteran Services for all veterans in the Hilltowns - Westerlo Town Hall, third Thursday of the month, 9:00 am - 11:30 am with representatives from Albany County Veteran Services Bureau and Stratton VA. Coffee Café - Third Thursday of the month, 9:00 am - 11:30 am, an opportunity for veterans to socialize with each other.

Stratton VA Patriot Guard Riders
A group of patriots who come together to show respect and support U.S. service members, veterans and first responders who died in the line of duty by stand- ing in a flag line and providing escorts at memorial services.
